Life in a small office - The Lahaani Studio

The Kahaani Studio has produced a corporate humor video that many people working in small companies and offices would enjoy and relate to. The humour is simple and subtle and is punctuated by great quotes made up by director, cinematographer and editor Raghav Gautam. Komal Kalia plays the role of the girl working in a small office with other characters supporting her.
I am proud to write the script and help in its production.

NaPoWriMo Day 4: Dearth of enotions

Whether we tease each other or have an argument,
Whether we say unkind words or give a compliment, 
it doesn't matter unless it reaches a time,
When we have nothing more to say to each other.
Our lips must not dry in anticipation of words,
Our eyes must not sway away from downpour of tears.
Our hearts must find ways to convery what it feels.
Whatever may happen, there must never be dearth of emotions.

NaPoWriMo Day 3: Psychology vs Economics

Jo baat hardum meri aakhein kehti hai,
Wo zuban se kyu kahalwati ho tum?
Abhi pichle Saturday hi toh shayarana style mein izhar-e -ishq kiya tha,
Kyu iss weekend repeat telecast sunna chahti ho tum?
Baar baar bolne se conditioning hoti hai;
Psychology ka law lagati ho tum.
Baar baar bolne se utility ghatti hai,
Simple economics na samaj paati ho tum.

NaPoWriMo Day2: A bag full of gold coins

I have not inherited a bag full of gold coins,
but a bag full of hopes and expectations,.
It weighs down my shoulders,
put off my quest for free movement.
It suffocates me with its presence,
but should I be whining?
My shoulders are well nourished to carry the load,
the investments that didn't go to buy gold coins,
went into my development;
For nurturing a healthy mind, soul and body,
and inculcation of values and skills,
and indeed the time that  fostered the process.
I am the bag full of gold coins that I inherit,
Just a little polishing and self belief required.

NaPoWriMo Day1: Immortalised

Hello again, it is good to be blogging again after a gap of two months. To foster ny writing, I am participating in NaPoWriMo, National Poetry Writing Month, where we have to write a poem each day for the 30 days of April. It is a very challenging task and I got only 50% success trying it twice before. Hope I come up victorious this time around.

NaPoWriMo Day1

When alone and lonely, you recite my words,
you utter my name too.
My presence though unseen,
stays like a fragrance,
pleasant or irksome, your call.
I am immortalised by the vibrations of your vocal cords.,
whether I exist or not in physical form.
Then why should I wish to be by your side for an evening-long
when I can stay forever in the manner of my words.

Love Shorts #30

Every time we part, I feel like a child whose favourite toy has been taken away from him. One such occasion might be our last meeting.
Even though I look at her longer than I should at times, it can't provide for the void her permanent absence would leave in my life.
Being practical, I tell myself not to think of what will happen eventually and to live this moment which is full of love, hope and possibility.
Life is a perpetual tryst to find true love, and the only way to succeed is giving back love.
